Seems like other people have the same issue so watch out. If you hear a pop you know what to check
And no the card isn't overclocked and it has 2 80mm blowing to it and a 80mm intake also a 120mm outtake fan on the machine. Temps is ok

8800GT
I had an evga 8800GT fail on me recently. I wonder if it is related?
I may look into this issue further.
8600gt
If its still under warranty I would send it back I paid about 89.99 plus shipping at tax for my old 8600 thought it was a great deal from Frys lol guess not with 30 bucks more I could have gotten the 8800gt.
Reminds me of when a slew of
Reminds me of when a slew of mobo vendors had that issue. I got hit with my Abit mobo in '03-'04. http://www.geek.com/articles/chips/capacitor-failures-plague-motherboard...
I mean if that was the case
I mean if that was the case they should really recall them back remember the dell battery issue that would cause laptop to burst in to flames lol they had to do a huge recall otherwise people could have sued

I'm sure that the Evga is going to get burned if they don't do something about their poor quality products.
odd part
the odd part is that they used to make quality stuff.
I guess they have been cutting costgs in the wrong places lately.
Bad Economy lol
so did you get a chance to look in to your card yet?
Well in my case at least the fan is still working haha. I'm sure I can rigged that thing on one of the other video cards that I have lol like an old pci one.
